  1. Learn about our roots at Open Farm Sunday

You may know us best for being a Farm Shop and Café, but we are first and foremost farmers!

Here at Home Farm we are surrounded by 400 acres of lush Somerset countryside, where we grow our organic vegetables, as well as wheat and grass to feed the animals.  We have stayed true to our roots with the belief that a real farm shop should sell the best seasonal produce and make home-made goodies from whatever we grow on the farm.

As we open our gates for Open Farm Sunday, you will discover more about what we do on the farm with guided tractor trailer rides around the site. We will also have an events village where we will have a vintage tractor display, soil scientist and wool spinning demonstrations to name but a few!

Our food production team will also be taking time out from the kitchens to show you techniques and ingredients used in our delicious homemade produce, whilst our in-house butcher McEvoy’s Meats will be on hand to talk about what goes into the counter and where it comes from (it’s not far!).

All-in-all this is set to be a fantastic and educational family day out, and best of all, it’s free!
