Join us this October Half-Term for pumpkin picking galore and more!
In preparation for the autumn’s Spookley Pumpkin Festival over 40,000 pumpkin seeds have been planted across 7 acres! This year you will be able to choose from 12 varieties to pick in two fields that are expected to yield over 30,000 pumpkins.
The pumpkin festival is our biggest event of the year; visit us this autumn for pumpkin picking, tractor trailer rides and to hear the tale of Spookley the square pumpkin.
This year we will be gearing up to provide more catering, better car parking facilities and even a new event for after Halloween… The Great Pumpkin Smash!
The Pumpkin Smash does what it says on the tin… it’s the chance to squish and splatter all the leftover pumpkins! We will be putting on target games and some ‘smashing’ activities. We may even get the tractors involved!
Although this may sound wasteful, it will be invaluable from a farming perspective as it will help the fields to recover faster – think of it as extreme composting!
